waiting for Samichlaus
There are 3 visitors in Ella's school today. Samichlaus, Schmutzli and a donkey carrying a basket full of treats.
In Switzerland, St Nicholas or Santa is called Samichlaus. He appears not on Christmas Eve or Day, but on December 6. He doesn’t sneak down the chimney, but comes through the front door, or maybe to school and give children mandarin oranges, nuts and cookies. Schmutzli is Samichlaus's sidekick. He has a dark face and dress in brown, rather scary looking. Legend goes if a child is not good, then Schmutzli will bag the kid and take him/her to the woods.

Kindercity
I went to my first movie in Kindercity today - Ratatouille. Mommy had read the story to me many times, but the movie is so different. Everything seems so real. I cried my eyes out when Rémy was chased by Skinner - and Mommy had to rush me out of there. Guess I am not ready for the big screen yet.
