what's better for the flowers?

We would like to find out if there was anything help plants grow faster than water.
We chose water, oil, milk and vinegar because they are common liquid. We chose the common one so you will know what they were.
Ella: My hypothesis is that “Oil will help plants grow faster than water.
Catherine: My hypothesis is that “ Milk has a lot of nutrients, so it will help plants grow."
Procedure: Everyday we water them with those four liquids. We recorded each plants height and width so we knew how much they grew. We did this for 17 days. After the first week, water grew 1cm; oil grew 0.9 cm; milk grew a lot; vinegar shrank 0.9 cm! At the second week, water and oil are still growing Towards the end of the experiment, water and oil grew; milk and vinegar started to shrink. At the end, water was the tallest; oil was the second tallest; milk was the third tallest; vinegar was dead.
Conclusion: We learned that water helps plants grow, oil kind of does, milk has the wrong kind of nutrients, and vinegar kills it.
